I’ve always wanted to help people

After our extended family faced an accident where one of us was told walking again wasn’t an option, I saw the power of what belief and support could do. A miracle happened, and her ability to walk came back, and it was mainly thanks to a team of therapists who refused to give up on her. I saw first hand what the impact of an OT could have on someone and I was hooked. I knew I had found my path in life.

As a parent, I get it

I jumped straight into Occupational Therapy, knowing that as a new mom, I needed to know how to support my daughter best. While I was new in practice, working with my daughter unlocked a passion for simplifying and removing the mystery from the world of sensory support. I started my Instagram page with the hope of helping a few people, and now it’s turned into a global movement of families helping each other create thriving children and peaceful homes.

The work we do as parents is so necessary. We nurture, teach, support, coach, educate, and so much more. When we can do that, and at the same time teach our children how to embrace and regulate their emotional and physical needs, we can help our children conquer the world.

No family or child should suffer.

When I began teaching my daughter how to regulate her emotional and physical needs by proximity, I began helping regulate my own. It was in this co-regulation-focused environment that we connected on a deeper level, and I learned that to help my child thrive, I need to help myself do the same.

For all the therapy we have had, only you have been the most practical and helpful. Thank you so much for the effort and work you put in to this to help people like myself.
We tried the strategies you recommended tonight and what took 3 hours to fall asleep last night took about 35 mins tonight
thank you!
You were 100% spot on when you told me that her nervous system is probably always in fight or flight mode, and that she’s unable to properly relax her pelvic floor. You are literally the only person I’ve ever talked to who could figure that out.
